Client Favorites, Hair Edition: My Go-To Natural Hair Care Routine

ree

You’ve been telling me how much you love my hair, and trust me, I’m flattered! Since so many of you ask what I use, I thought—why not create a blog post to share the routine? Below is everything I do to keep my hair healthy, vibrant, and hydrated. Stick around until the end for product links!

1. Gentle Detangling — Bottom to Top

When I brush my hair, I always start from the ends and gently work upward. This prevents breakage and makes the process smoother and less painful.

2. Baking Soda Hack with Shampoo

Here’s a little game-changer: I add about a teaspoon of baking soda into the palm of my hand (never into the bottle—it can mess with the formula), then mix it with my shampoo. This light addition helps cleanse buildup and get a fresh base without being harsh.

3. I Stick to Silicone-Free, Natural Products

Silicones might leave your hair looking shiny—but they actually sit on the surface and block moisture from getting in. That’s why I always use silicone-free products—they help my hair actually absorb moisture from water, conditioners, and leave-ins. I attribute silicone free products with the length of my hair, if you've seen me, it's down to my butt now whereas before I went all silicone free, I could barely grow past my bra strap.

4. My Favorite Clean & Natural Brands

4. Hydrate from the Inside Out

I also make it a priority to drink nearly a gallon of water every day, keeping my skin and hair hydrated from the inside out.

Why This Routine Works

  • Gentle detangling keeps your curls intact and healthy.

  • Baking soda refreshes without harsh stripping.

  • Silicone-free products ensure your hair genuinely absorbs hydration.

  • All-natural formulas nurture without buildup.

  • K18 mask rescues dry ends instantly.

  • Innersense oil serum seals everything together for lasting shine.

  • Hydrate with at least 1 liter, but up to a gallon of water a day. Your body and hair will thank you.
